A hunter who draws blood and after an honest effort by the guide or guides to retrieve the animal with no success, it will be considered a kill and a successful hunt. How to judge black bears (male/female), size, etc.. and proper shot placement will be gone over at the Lodge upon arrival and prior to your hunt to ensure your success.
